Bio: Fr. C. Hightower, S.J. Fr. C. Hightower, S.J., from Renton, Wash., graduated from Seattle University with a Bachelor of Criminal Justice. From 92-94, Hightower served as Director of Education for Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Entering the Society of Jesus in 1994, He taught U.S. History, Church History, and Christian Morality at Bellarmine Prep in Tacoma, Wash., in 96’, 99/01, and again in 2007/8 where he also coached soccer, winning state titles in 2000 (girls) and again in 2008 (boys). During the 2004/07 school years, he taught AP Government & Politics while also serving as Director of Ignatian Identity at Gonzaga Prep in Spokane. Between 2008/13 he served as the Director of University Ministry at Gonzaga University, Chaplain to the Athletic Dept., and on Gonzaga’s Board of Members. Between 2013/16, Fr. Hightower served as the religious Superior of the Sacramento Jesuit Community, working and teaching at both Jesuit High School and St. Ignatius Parish while chairing the Diocese of Sacramento’s Liturgy Committee. He is a former Chair of the Oregon Province Board of Members; Fr. Hightower holds degrees from Seattle U., Gonzaga, and Boston College (Weston). He is a founding member of the Spokane Diocese’s Nazareth Guild. After a short stint in Iraq with Jesuit Refugee Services, Fr. Hightower has served as Pastor to the historic St. Ignatius Mission in Diocese of Helena. In 2020, joined the Diocese of Helena’s Presbyteral Council and became pastor of St. Francis Xavier in Missoula.
