Dr. RajaTanas, PhD
Dr. Tanas, a native Arab, born in Bethlehem, gives the historical geography about the original turmoil in the Middle East between the two sons of Abraham – Ishmael and Isaac, and their descendants – their Arabian and Jewish children. The conflict between these religions only become more intense when the West tries to intervene. (Part II in October 2017)
Bio – Dr. Raja Tanas
Raja S. Tanas is Professor and Chair of the Sociology Department at Whitworth University. He received his Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in sociology from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, after which he earned his Ph.D. degree in sociology from Michigan State University.
Dr. Tanas became a faculty member at Whitworth University in 1983, where he currently teaches in the sociology department. He has carried out extensive research in the area of Middle Eastern and Islamic studies.
