This year Immaculate Heart Retreat Center celebrates 63years of service to the people of God. Once again, we plan to hold our annual fund-raising event, HOPE, PEACE & HEALING – following a theme inspired by Pope Francis, “Retreat….Experience the Attraction and Fascination of God….”
This event will be held at the Barrister Winery in downtown Spokane. Father John Murphy SJ, spiritual director at Bishop White Seminary, will be the keynote speaker. We have contracted with Beacon Hill Catering and Events to provide an atmosphere of quality and elegance. This event is Immaculate Heart’s major annual fund-raiser, and I need your assistance to help make it a success. I kindly ask that you sponsor a table or attend the event. A table sponsorship is $750; individual tickets are $75. With your sponsorship come these features:
A table-seating for 10 for you and your selection of potential guests
A wonderful time of fellowship at an elegantly prepared and served meal
The prominent display of your name on screen and in the event program
Formal recognition at the event, as well as on IHRC’s website and in its winter newsletter
Opportunity to reach out in faith in financial support of the Diocese’s ministry of spiritual enrichment for God’s people
HOPE, PEACE & HEALING 2022 is supported by Bishop Daly as part of his effort to strengthen participation in and financial support for our Diocese’s retreat ministry. Individuals can register and purchase tickets here on the IHRC website or they can call 509-448-1224 and speak with Kristen, our Operations and Programs Administrator. I very much appreciate your collaboration with this effort as Immaculate Heart continues to fulfill its mission statement: “providing spiritual growth to all people on their journey toward God in an atmosphere of prayer and reflection.” God bless! Your servant in Christ,
Evenings Menu - The evening will begin with social time as guests partake of hors d'oeuvres of Bruschetta with house-made Olive Tapenade, Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Goat Cheese, and chilled Tuscan Herb Prawns – all the while enjoying a selection of Barrister’s wines. A table-served gourmet dinner will follow, featuring Beacon Hill House Salad, Grilled Pesto Beef Skewers and Dijon-sage Chicken Thighs with Marsala Cream Sauce and Balsamic roasted Mushrooms, Roasted Baby Red Potatoes with Rosemary, and Orzo with Preserved Lemon Roasted Vegetables, Fresh Baby Spinach, Crumbled Feta and Fresh Basil. A dessert of Beacon Hill Brownies and Northwest Apple Crumble Bars will top off the menu. The meal will be pared with Barrister’s own Sauvignon Blanc and Rough Justice Red Blend. For those who prefer, a variety of non-alcoholic beverages will be available.
