Holy Family Illuminated Manuscript Retreat

In this retreat we will make a 5"x7" illuminated manuscript page, the perfect size for Christmas cards! We will use gouache, gold, and plant-based parchment to create an image of the Holy Family to close the Year of St. Joseph. Materials provided by retreat leader. Individuals $145  Couples $248 (includes $28.00 materials fee per person).

Immaculate Heart is following CDC and the Washington Health Department’s COVID-19 guidelines to maintain a sanitized and safe environment for our retreatants and guests.  All formerly occupied bedrooms are completely sanitized before each check in.  Your peace of mind and safety are our top concern as you journey with God on our spiritual grounds.

Bio – Hannah Charlton
Hannah Charlton is an artist living in Washington State.  She interned at the Grunewald Guild in Leavenworth, Washington, and attended Whitworth University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2014, studying art, graphic design, and history. She found the ideal intersection of the three areas of study in medieval manuscript illumination. “An illuminated manuscript is a handwritten, hand-decorated page or book. It is ‘illuminated’ in that the text is lit up with decoration.”
Hannah was the Creator-in-Residence at The Lab at the North Spokane Public Library in December of 2018.
